Taylor Frankie Paul calls out Mikayla Matthews in savage Mother’s Day post

Taylor Frankie Paul chose Mother’s Day to blast her “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-star Mikayla Matthews publicly on Instagram.

In a post on Sunday, Paul shared pics of her with her three kids, but in the lengthy caption, noted that since it was Mother’s Day, she would say what she wants. Though Paul didn’t name names, she referenced Matthews’ Instagram Story Saturday, in which Matthews said she was setting “healthy boundaries” in her friendships, and that she was trying to stay “as removed as possible” from Paul’s legal issues with ex Dakota Mortensen.

Paul wrote in her emotional post, “I have STILL have “friends” kicking me while I’m already down and calling it “setting a boundary” and then BLAMES ME for being upset and responding. That’s called shaming and attack while I had a moment to breathe and she knew that.”

“What a snake friend just did to me in the public eye after everything she just witnessed…the lack of empathy and silence was loud enough,” she continued.

She then specifically called out Matthews writing Saturday that she didn’t want to pick sides between Paul and Mortensen.

Paul responded, “Did you see the hearing? Did you see the bruises? Yet she’s bringing up “picking sides”? Yes usually you do for friends you know go through that.”

Paul claimed Matthews didn’t ever hear her side and ignored her.

“Your trauma doesn’t give you a pass to kick me while down and cover it with “a boundary” months later after the fact… she is right to state her “boundary” sure …but go ahead tell them the truth,” she wrote.

Paul admitted she was “spiraling” over the situation and called Matthews an enemy.

“People calling me out yet I can’t respond? Exactly what I will NOT be tolerating ever again,” she wrote. “Thank you GOD for the people you sent to help me through this with my enemies so close.”

In an Instagram Story Sunday, Paul also defiantly wrote, “I will not be sitting down, staying silent, or logging off… I did that for years on this. Trust me I can take a beating wether it’s emotional, physical, or public scrutiny.”

In her own Instagram Story Saturday, Matthews said she felt horrible for everyone involved in Paul’s scandal, which temporarily shut down filming on season 5 of “TSLOMW.” In March, Paul also temporarily lost custody of her 2-year-old son, Ever — whom she shares with Mortensen — amid mutual allegations of abuse between the exes.

But Matthew pointed out, “However, it is not my job to enable poor or dangerous behavior from either party, especially when children are involved. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them or want the best for their individual futures. It just means I cannot sit here and pretend it’s OK that years of destructive behavior are now being discussed more than ever online and turned into a ‘pick a side’ game.”

She also said she was there for Paul while she hit “rock bottom,” despite her dealing with her own trauma and health issues.

“Every single time, the behaviors and patterns continued and were publicly praised for being ‘messy’ and ‘relatable,’” she wrote, adding, “You cannot save someone who is unwilling to participate in their own rescue.”

Paul responded in a comment, accusing Matthews of waiting for her downfall and claiming she rarely ever cried to her for help.

She also dismissively said of Matthews, “She can find her way to the door if she doesn’t want to film with me. Next.”
