Charlize Theron Shares Rare Photos of Her Daughters

Charlize Theron may be an Oscar winner, but her most rewarding role? Mom.

Indeed, the Mad Max: Fury Road actress reflected on being a parent to her daughters Jackson Theron, 14, and August Theron, 11.

In a May 10 Mother’s Day Instagram post, Charlize shared rare pics with her kids, including one cozying up with them during a nap on a boat, selfies in the sun and enjoying a day out in the city. 

“The greatest honor of my life,” she wrote alongside the post. “Happy mother’s day to all moms, oumas and godmothers.”

For the 50-year-old, being a single mom to Jackson and August—whom she adopted in 2012 and 2015, respectively—has been the most fulfilling journey. 

“It’s probably one of the healthiest decisions I ever made,” she explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast in July 2025. “I love every single day of it. I love that I don’t have to share them with somebody. I love that I don’t have to run a f–king thing by a guy.”
