He’s not the only celeb with heart, though.
The Bachelorette alum Joe Amabile will be gutting out the run a mere three months after undergoing brain surgery to remove a blueberry-sized lesion.
“I wanted to focus on something positive,” he explained to E! News of attempting the journey for a third time. “It helped me so much to put my mindset, not just on focusing on the surgery, because a lot of it was just out of my hands, and the marathon is something that I can control.”
Of course, while New York is the concrete jungle where dreams are made of, it’s not the only spot where stars can seek that elusive runner’s high.
