Succession’s Jesse Armstrong Shades King Charles at Emmys


The creator of Succession may take the crown for many awkward joke on the Emmy Awards.

Succession‘s Jesse Armstrong made a jab at King Charles III whereas on stage to simply accept the prize for Excellent Drama Collection at the 2022 Emmys on Sept. 12. Additionally nominated within the class this yr have been Higher Name SaulEuphoriaOzarkSeveranceSquid Sport, Stranger Issues and Yellowjackets. On the ceremony, which was held 4 days after the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, Armstrong made a joke about about Charles’ succession to the throne.  

Suggesting it has been “large for successions within the U.Okay.,” Armstrong stated, “Evidently, a bit extra voting concerned in our successful than Prince Charles’.
