Hailey Bieber has arrived on the Met Gala 2026 red carpet.
Ascending the long staircase of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City Monday night, Hailey wore a custom Saint Laurent golden bustier and bright blue chiffon skirt.
Over her shoulders, she wore a draped cape that matched her cobalt skirt — inspired by artists such as Yves Klein and Matisse, both of whom have been known to use the bold hue. The look was adapted from a Yves Saint Laurent spring/summer 2002 runway look.
The golden bustier looked as though she had been painted with body paint, as Bieber shared with Vogue on the red carpet that the top had been molded to her frame.
Bieber’s hair was slick back in a tight bun, revealing golden earrings on each ear. She also sported two gold rings.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is “Costume Art,” and the dress code is “Fashion Is Art.”
This marks the Rhode founder’s ninth appearance on the red carpet for fashion’s biggest night. She has attended almost every year since her Met debut in 2015, though she skipped the fête in 2023 and 2024.
Last year, she embraced the gala’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme in a sharp-shouldered black Saint Laurent blazer dress.
Her past Met looks have run the gamut from 2018’s ethereal Tommy Hilfiger gown and flower crown for “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” to 2019’s pink sequined Alexander Wang dress featuring a peekaboo thong — an early-aughts-inspired number befitting that year’s “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme.
Justin, meanwhile, has remained largely absent from the major fashion event, having only attended twice before (in 2015 and 2021).
