Gypsy Rose Blanchard has responded to her ex-fiancé Ken Urker’s sister Autumn’s alarming allegations against her following his death.
Autumn publicly blasted Blanchard for her “disgusting” statements following Urker’s death, claiming that Blanchard hadn’t even spoken to his family in an interview with the Daily Mail Friday. She also claimed the former inmate was lying that Urker was found only after he failed to respond to a text from her wishing him a happy birthday.
Blanchard addressed her tense relationship with Autumn in a statement to Us Weekly Saturday.
“At this time, I do not want the focus surrounding Ken’s passing to become centered on negativity or disagreements between Autumn and me,” she said. “It is no secret that Autumn did not approve of Ken’s relationship with me, and there has been significant tension between us, including public comments she made about me in the months leading up to his passing.”
She disputed Autumn’s claim that she has not spoken to his family.
“I remain in communication with Ken’s family, and aside from my relationship with Autumn, those communications have been positive and respectful during an incredibly painful time,” she said.
Blanchard also made her own allegations against Autumn, claiming that Urker told her that his sister “threatened” him in Blanchard’s final phone conversation with him on Sept. 28.
“[He] said that Autumn had repeatedly threatened to ‘go harder’ publicly and further contribute to the negative commentary and scrutiny he was already experiencing,” she claimed, adding that Urker was “deeply distressed” over her and Autumn not getting along.
Urker died on his 34th birthday. According to TMZ, who was first to report the news, he was found unresponsive at a home in Louisiana by a family member after he didn’t respond when Blanchard texted him “happy birthday.”
Autumn disputed this, accusing Blanchard, 35, of lying.
“Gypsy had no right to lie and say that it was because of some text that she sent to him,” she told the US Sun Friday.
Autumn also claimed Blanchard had been telling people that she and Ken were “engaged and planning baby number two,” which she said was not true.
In her separate Daily Mail interview, Autumn also claimed that in her own final phone call with her brother, he told her he was “terrified” that Blanchard wouldn’t keep their daughter “safe.” She also alleged that he told her Blanchard had “humiliated” him.
As for her opinion on Blanchard, Autumn brutally shared, “She loved all the attention at the expense of everybody around her.”
Blanchard told TMZ that Urker — whom she called her “forever soulmate” — died from an overdose.
Page Six exclusively reported that Urker — who had quietly split from Blanchard a month before his death — was found with drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun at the time of his death.
Blanchard and Urker dated on and off since he first wrote a letter to her in 2017 when she was still in prison for her part in her mom Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard’s murder, after suffering years of abuse from her. They shared a 1-year-old daughter, Aurora.
On Sunday, she urged her followers to sign an online harassment petition to honor her ex-fiancé. Blanchard said the law will be about “changing the way social-media platforms handle repeated reports of harassment.”
“In honor of Ken, I am asking for your support for Kenan’s Law. 🤍,” she shared on Instagram, claiming, “Before his passing, Ken experienced an overwhelming amount of online scrutiny and what we believed crossed the line into targeted harassment and cyberbullying.”
“I cannot change what happened, but I can advocate for a better system for the next person who feels like no one is listening,” she wrote.
