Zac Efron gave fans what they’ve been looking for after an incident in a swimming pool in Ibiza landed him in the hospital.
One, a message of reassurance that he’s OK. Two, photographic evidence.
“Happy and healthy,” the High School Musical alum wrote on his Instagram Stories Aug. 4, sharing a photo of himself lifting a pair of weights while lying shirtless in a pair of swimming trunks on an exercise ball on a deck. “Thanks for the well wishes.”
Efron’s entrepreneur friend Caleb Davidge also shared a selfie showing himself with the actor standing shirtless in the same location, adding two weightlifter emojis.
Efron, who is known for his muscular physique, was hospitalized the night of Aug. 2 as a precautionary measure after a “minor swimming incident” at a villa on the Spanish island, his rep told TMZ. The outlet reported that the 36-year-old was released the following morning and was doing fine.
E! News had reached out to the Baywatch star’s rep for comment at the time and did not hear back.
