And the showgirl-esque photos taken by fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are one of Taylor’s main points of pride when it comes to the visuals of the era.
“The photoshoot we did with Mert and Marcus was so extraordinary,” she reflected. “I was so happy with it that I just wanted the fans to have as many images from this world, this album era, as possible.”
Ultimately, every detail was carefully crafted by Taylor herself.
“The vinyl packaging, the CD packaging, the photographs, the photo cards, it’s all just something I’m very proud of and it took a lot of time to put together,” the 35-year-old admitted. “A lot of concentration, a lot of organization, but hopefully it pays off and I hope the fans are happy.”
