Prince William and Kate Middleton might be more chill than you think.
The Prince of Wales revealed that one of his and his wife’s favorite activities is doing polar plunges.
“You feel great afterwards,” he said during a beach walk with members of the Marine Conservation Society’s Youth Ocean Network in Colwyn Bay, North Wales on Friday, per the Daily Mail.
“I love it. I do a lot of yelling and screaming when I get in,” William, 43, added.
During his visit, he also met members of Colwyn Bay Blue Bits, a cold water swimming group.
Speaking to swimmers Chrissy Bolton, Georgia Daniels and Midge Owen Smith, the philanthropist also said that he had done some cold water dips in Scotland and enjoyed it.
It was Middleton, also 43, who convinced a hesitant William to try the intense hobby at first, though.
During a September 2023 episode of The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast, she shared her love of cold swimming, which William thought she was “crazy” for pursuing.
“I love all sports. I really generally love all sports. I love swimming. Cold swimming,” she said before her husband cut her off, saying, “The colder, the better.”
“The colder, the better. I absolutely love it,” she agreed. “Slightly to the point where William’s like, ‘Catherine, you’re crazy,’” Middleton laughed. “It’s dark and it’s raining and I’ll go and seek out cold water.”
Somewhere between then and now, the heir to the throne must have gathered up the strength to brace the freezing water.
In their free time, the royal couple also like to do a lot of activities with their three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
In September, the parents surprised their kids with a “magical” trip to the “Harry Potter” series set.
“It was so special,” an insider told the Daily Mail at the time, adding that they got to meet the young actors and the director on the set.
“There was only one night of filming there, so it really was a magical ticket.”
Over the summer, they also took a family outing to Wimbledon 2025 for the tournament’s final day, matching in color-coordinated outfits.
