Kate Gosselin revealed the “life-altering” injury that caused her recent hospitalization — and how her puppy caused it.
“Meika … ran into me full-speed ahead, and I ended up with a tibial plateau fracture,” the former reality star, 50, explained via TikTok on Tuesday.
This affects a “critical load-bearing area in the human body,” according to Physio-pedia.com.
The “Jon and Kate Plus 8” alum noted that she underwent “surgery with plates and pins in [her] leg.”
Gosselin went on to share the “opening line” from her doctor “that morning at 5 a.m.,” which quickly “got [her] attention” regarding the seriousness of the wound.
“This is one of those things that is a life-altering event,” he told her.
Gosselin initially kept the exact nature of her injury under wraps while requesting prayers from fans on Tuesday.
“Please pray for me tonight and tomorrow 🙏,” she captioned a picture showing an IV in her arm and an oxygen monitor clipped to her finger.
“I will be fine, but I’m scared and would appreciate your prayers!” the “Kate Plus Date” alum continued. “Thanks, guys.”
She added in her caption that “emergencies don’t care about schedules” and promised a “story time to follow” when she felt up to it.
After providing details later that same day, Gosselin gave a shoutout to the “ice machine” she was using to do continuous cold therapy on her leg.
However, she admitted, “My leg is really hurting, I’m going to need to say something. It’s, like, unable to be ignored.”
The former TLC personality clarified she was on “five pain meds” and labeled the procedure her “top three most painful” surgeries.
Gosselin has been extremely active on TikTok in recent months, sharing honest confessions about her finances and giving rare glimpses of her kids.
Most recently, she gave a shoutout to her boyfriend, Steve Neild, for bringing her coffee — but did not show his face.
Page Six reported last week that Gosselin and her former bodyguard are dating.
Her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, railed against the news via Instagram at the time since “no one believed him” when he previously accused the duo of an affair.
“I guess I was right,” he alleged. “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!”
