“No way this is him or recent. 6-7 months ago he was on raw jacked. He wouldn’t lose that much muscle so fast. He would still be working out and stuff,” said a fourth fan.

Page Six has reached out to Johnson’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.

“This transformation was something I was really hungry to do,” Johnson said of his role in the Benny Safdie-directed biopic at the Venice Film Festival over the weekend, per the Hollywood Reporter.

“I had been very fortunate to have the career that I’ve had over the years and to make the films that I’ve made, but there was just a voice inside of me, a little voice that said, ‘Well, what if I could do more — I want to do more and what does that look like?’” he added.

Additionally, in June, Johnson revealed that he had been struggling with gut-related health issues for years.

“He’s like, ‘What’s going on?’ I said, ‘I’ve seen doctors and I can’t quite nail it. I can’t quite fix it. It’s in my digestion,” the dad of three said on “The Mark Hyman Show” at the time.

“I feel great — and that’s the odd thing — but I just can’t crack it.’”

Johnson began treatment for his health ailments in early 2024, with the actor having a full plate of prior commitments, including a WWE gig, the releases of “Red One” and “Moana 2,” and filming for “The Smashing Machine.”
