‘Mormon Wives’ star McCall DaPron faces backlash over JFK Halloween costume

McCall DaPron is facing backlash after her family’s controversial Halloween 2026 costume sparked criticism online.

The social media personality, who is set to star in the Orange County spinoff of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” shared a glimpse of her family’s spooky season looks in an Instagram post on Thursday.

In the photos, McCall, 36, dressed as Jackie Kennedy, rocking a pink mini skirt and matching blazer while carrying a bouquet of red roses, while her husband, Kirk DaPron, portrayed former President John F. Kennedy.

The couple appeared to recreate the outfits worn by the former first lady and the president on the day of his assassination.

Their 8-year-old daughter, McCartney, dressed as Caroline Kennedy, while their 2-year-old son, Banks, portrayed John F. Kennedy Jr.

Their other children, 11-year-old Monroe and 4-year-old Truman, completed the family’s look as Secret Service agents.

“Happy Halloween 🩷 The Kennedys,” McCall captioned the post.

Although comments on the post have since been turned off, that didn’t stop social media users from sharing their thoughts on the family’s ensembles before the feature was disabled.

One commenter called the looks “appallingly distasteful,” while another wrote, “[You’re] dressing up as a woman on the scariest day of her life…,” according to People.

Page Six has reached out to representatives for McCall for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” is set to premiere on Hulu on Nov. 12.

McCall will be joined by original series star Jen Affleck, as well as Bobbi Althoff, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Ashleigh Pease, Jordan McClanahan, Madison Fisher (née Bontempo) and Salomé Andrea.

McCall is also notably the sister of original “SLOMW” star Mayci Neeley.

McCall isn’t the first celebrity to face backlash for the controversial look.

Julia Fox sparked criticism last year after dressing as Jackie Kennedy in the same pink outfit, though her version was covered in blood.

Social media users called the costume “disturbing” and “tasteless,” with some arguing that “tragedy is not a costume.”

Jackie’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, also weighed in on Fox’s costume at the time, expressing his outrage in a post to X.

“Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous,” he wrote in part.

Fox, 36, later defended the look, insisting it was not a costume but rather a “statement” about “protest” and “mourning.”
