A Keith Urban fan claims the musician hinted about his divorce from Nicole Kidman weeks before news broke.
Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on Sept. 30, but one of the musician’s biggest fans — Dale Whiteside — said Urban hinted at the split during a Saskatoon, Canada, stop for his High And Alive World Tour on Sept. 15.
Whiteside, who strongly resembles the “Let It Roll” hitmaker, told TMZ that he had an in-person meeting with Urban, during which they discussed how much they looked alike.
Whiteside revealed he told Urban that a couple had mistaken him for the singer at a music festival. However, they realized the mistake when they saw Whiteside wasn’t wearing a wedding ring.
The fan claimed he told Urban that the two ways they could be told apart were the wedding ring and the country music star’s many tattoos.
Then, after taking a photo together, Whiteside claimed Urban told him, “Next time, it’ll probably be just the tattoos.”
Whiteside said he didn’t know what Urban meant until two weeks later when Kidman, 58, and Urban’s split news emerged.
A rep for Urban didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Page Six confirmed on Sept. 29 that Urban and the “Moulin Rouge!” actress had separated after 19 years of marriage.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” an insider told Page Six at the time, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”
However, the “Big Little Lies” star filed for divorce the following day, citing the standard “irreconcilable differences.”
She also included a parenting plan for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
The Oscar-winning actress and the 58-year-old singer had been living apart “since the beginning of summer,” multiple sources claimed to TMZ at the time.
