Meanwhile, Chigvintsev also shared two wedding photos to his own Instagram page.
“Happy anniversary my love, can’t see my life without you,” he wrote in his own Aug. 26 post. “You are my everything.”
Chigvintsev and Garcia first connected when they were partners on DWTS in 2017. At the time, however, Garcia was engaged to fellow wrestler John Cena, before the duo called off their engagement in 2018 after six years together.
In 2019, Garcia reconnected with Chigvintsev and the pair were engaged by January 2020. Later that same year, the couple welcomed Mateo. And while the couple just celebrated their second wedding anniversary, Garcia has been open about their ups-and-downs, even saying they went to couple’s therapy to work on their communication.
“It’s with our life coach,” she told US Weekly in 2020. “After dancing, we’re going to start classes as a couple because we’ve realized that we both feel like we’re not listening to each other. We finally both just said, like, ‘We need to bring someone in to help us so we don’t get into that place.'”
Later, Nikki said they stopped going to therapy together as frequently noting they had “no problems.”
As she put it to Us Weekly in 2021, “It’s helped us tremendously.”
